How do I register vacation or absence?

This article explains how you can register vacation or absence whether it's regarding your own vacation/absence or your employees. 

 

Go to "Employees" in the main menu

You can choose to register absence using the employee profile under the tab "Absence"

The Employee profile 

1. Click on your own profile or the employee that you wish to register absence or vacation for  

2. Click "Absence" in the menu on your right

Please be aware that your access to use the widget when adding absence depends on your-set up. To use the widget you must make it accessible to your own user in the tab "views". 

 

3. Fill in the mandatory tabs

Type of absence: Choose what kind of absence that you want to register. This could be vacation, illness, learning etc. 

Time span: Specify what time span you will be away. If the type of absence you are registering allows you to mark absence for half a day, you must also indicate what time during the day you will be absent. 

When you have indicated when you will be away, it will show how many days that will be booked and how many days there are left. 
Furthermore you will be able to see if your absence overlaps with someone else.

Who will cover for you?: If you have an agreement with a colleague, then please Indicate who will cover for you during your absence.

Notify other colleagues: Choose one or more colleagues that must receive a notification informing that you/the employee are absent during the indicated period of time. 

Comment: Add a comment and this will be shown to the leader that may need to approve the absence 

4. Click "save" to add absence 

If the chosen type of absence requires approval from your manager he or she will be notified. Under the tab "absence" it shows if the registered absence awaits approval. Emply_2020-05-06_10-16-09.png

2. Click "New absence" to add absence

Employee: Are you a leader, administrator, or du you have administrator rights within different departments, you must choose the employee that you wish to register absence for. 

Type: Choose what kind of absence that you want to register. This could be vacation, illness, learning etc. 

Time span: Specify what time span you will be away. If the type of absence you are registering allows you to mark absence for half a day, you must also indicate what time during the day you will be absent.
